First multi module 1 MWE wood gasification plant

Biomass start commissioning of their first multi module 1 mwe wood gasification plant on a Farm in Cumbria. The plant will export renewable energy to the grid and provide heat for use at the farm . This includes heating of the poultry sheds which currently house up to 70,000 chickens. The site comprises 4 gasifier modules and 2 x 550kwe engines supplied by Guascor. The site is expected to be in full commercial operation by the end of September.
This plant was completed and handed over to the client for their operation. Re-investment at the plant by the client is underway which will enable further improvements to be made to the fuel preparation plant equipment.
2nd Multi Module 1MWE Wood Gasification Plant – This plant in South Wales was completed and handed over to the client for their operation in Q3 of 2009. More details to follow shortly within a Case Study.
