Biomass Engineering’s Italian Plans

Biomass have signed their first contracts to supply Biomass CHP plants
in Italy. The first site is in an alpine village located approx 90km
North East of Trento. The project is initially for 2x250kWe Biomass
Gasification Units, and discussions are underway on funding for a
further 500kWe on the same site. The units will be fuelled by virgin
popular wood, and the plant equipment will be available to operate by Q3
of 2010.
This is the first of several similar plants scheduled to proceed in
Italy over the next 12-18 months, and marks the start of a significant
expansion programme into Italy.
